I stumbled upon this, and thought: why not listen to it today? it's only on bandcamp which is interesting. i've liked memory card for a bit now, but don't listen to them too often. their song last of the self-titled is one that really hurts my heart... i love it. this album is a great one as well. nice balance between right out depressive songs and some with more life. not a lot to say about it other than i liked it! i'm trying to listen to albums in full more, and this is the first i'm also ranking on RYM. follow me there if you want

Wanderspace
RE-ST
march 4, 2024

took a while for me to finish reading this. but i did it! pretty interesting. though the last big chapter focuses on only why the firm RE-ST is good, which was a bit exhausting to read through. but that's maybe just because i was very tired when i read that part. Talks about the importantce of refraining from building as architects and using the 'wanderspace' that is already available.

American Pie
march 2, 2024

hmm... i watched this cuz i was staying somewhere that had a ton of dvds and i browsed through them and this one i was curious to know what it was about. i knew it was gonna be kinda stupid, so yeh, not suprised haha. some scenes were fun but others were just dumb or disgusting. my favorite character is probably Oz. also the end was pretty ok. it did make the movie seem like it has a "message". not that impressed, but an okay watch :-)

Perfect Answer
by Evanora Unlimited
1st listen . february 27, 2024

YES! new evanora album!! i was so excited for this. it's soooo good too! all tracks are amazing, no misses, pure evanora unlimited, pure joy. it was very difficult to pick favorite tracks, since all of them are so great. i am a bit biased, cuz i already heard two tracks live when i saw them in amsterdam, so those two (sequoia tide and salt water) first took my attention. but propeller blades also stands out as an amazing track. honestly, again, i can say that of all tracks. they all have the aspects of evanora songs i like; the screams, the beats, the lyrics... maybe secretly i wished for a softer track like age of information, but that was only released as a special single, so i get why that's not particularly album material for an evanora project. still this is definitely one of my favorite releases of the year so far! my favorite tracks might change a bit throughout the next day or so, cuz i'm gonna be playing the whole album on repeat all week. go stream it, it's a masterpiece. evanora is so themselves at all times, and i love everything that their art encompasses. :-)

video coming soon!!!

SLAGWERK: SNOW STRIPPERS - FAKETHIAS - ANGELITA - FAUSSE SCEPTIQUE - OTIS
february 23-4, 2024
@Botanique, Brussels

YEAHHHH!!! best night ever?! yup yup yup! this was so great... first night going to something that starts at 11pm and ends at 5am! great experience. it couldn't have gone better. was with my best friend, so that was great and we met some really sweet people with whom we danced the night away haha! i got some really fun shots with my film camera i'm so excited to get developed and share, and also got videos with the camcorder, which i'm probably gonna compile in a lil' video soon. all the djs were so great and snow strippers were phenomenal! the energy was top tier and everyone was so nice; such a safe space! fakethias was probably my fav of the djs next to snow strippers, of course. what else to say... the venue was great; Botanique never disappoints! seeing my friend have fun was also one of the highlights, definitely. if she's reading this: i love youu, let's do this again and again and again!
well, i said what i wanted to say and the videos will speak for themselves as well.. one of my favorite nights ever! i will think about this for a looong time to come <3.

wow... yeh... i finally finished watching this damn show. it's had a really big impact on me and it will definitely haunt me for a little while. i can't really put into words what i feel about this. it's an amazing piece of work. incredibly made, really. no bad things to say. great great great, and i will miss it dearly.

DONNIE MAGAZINE
1st issue
february 19, 2024

finished reading this bad boy today! was fun to read about so many different people and their art. DONNIE MAG is a magazine (or zine, cuz its non-commercial and has the feel of a city zine but it's printed glossy and all fancy, so i guess it's a mag?) that covers people from all walks of life who all have a connection to the city of Antwerp (<3). This issue includes interviews with skaters, interior designers, comic artists, jewelry designers, musicians and more! i love hearing all these people talk about their craft and their life in the city. it's refreshing to realize that these cool motivated people are not distant from life like some artists, but they embrace community. i'm probably going to the release party of the 2nd issue next month with a friend, so yippie to that! excited to see what it has in store.. also the photography in the zine is great, and on the instagram page they also post some film from travels here and there. go check them out if you can! here's their site

woooo queer riot grrrls!! i really enjoyed this little album! i loved the songs with screams the most but that's to be expected of me haha. it's not perfect, but is it meant to be? NO! i decided to listen to this after hearing 'the drop dead look' in a playlist and yup that's still my favorite on the tracklist. fun listen on my way to school! got me all energized :-)

Skip and Loafer
february 18, 2024

wow! such a great watch.. a heartwarming story of first year high-school kids trying to navigate their way through their emotions and their relationships. all characters have their own flaws and whether they work through them or not, you can’t help but let them all, every single one of them, touch your heart in some way. fumi is a sweetie, i hope to find my fumi someday <3. i don’t know what else to say. it was just such a great show… go watch it!!

Sultan of Squat
by The Cowboys
1st listen . february 18, 2024

this album completely flew under my radar haha... the cowboys are great! the whimsical vibes of their music makes me smile :-). this album is no exception. i'm feeling even more the nostalgia of times i've never experienced; the 'good ol' times', especially in tracks like 'red head playa'. but still The Cowboys manage to make it sounds so of this time. no track gives me the same butterflies as some of their toppers on previous albums did, though.. still a great album!!

This Sunrise Is Brutal
by Thrilliam Angels
re-listen . february 17, 2024

newest release from one of my most liked artists! thrilliam angels never disappoints, really. this was a highly anticipated release for me and it's truly a great work of art. it feels like a mix of all seasons and has the distinct thrilliam vibe that i love so much. soft female vocals (s/o to all the features) with heavy lyrics and hypnotic beats and harder tracks with guttural screams from the man himself.

FOOLY COOLY
february 15, 2024

wow... i was so confused the entire time, but as you can figure by looking at my index page, i liked it a lot. especially mamimi haha, she's a sweetie. she reminded me of many characters from other media i have consumed recently. one of those is tsuda from all about lily chou-chou.
other than mamimi being my favorite character (canti is also bae), i really liked the art style and fast pace. very difficult to grasp but so inspiring.

All About Lily Chou-Chou
february 13, 2024

on one hand i expected to like this more than i did, but on the other hand, i can't deny it was great. i think the biggest problem i had was with the length and empty spaces. don't get me wrong, some of my favorite movies are over 2 hours, but this one didn't need to be, i think. 2 would've been fine. but it's still a really great film. aesthetically, it rocks, of course. the characters are good ( i love tsuda ), and i love the mix of the forum posts and real life. not a lot more i want to say about this. juts had a fun time watching :).
